When the Raymond mill is working, the material to be crushed is fed into the machine from the feeding hopper on the side of the hood, and the grinding roller device suspended on the main stand is revolved around the vertical axis while rotating. Due to the centrifugal force during rotation, the grinding roller swings outward and presses against the grinding ring, so that the blade shovels the material between the grinding roller and the grinding ring, and the purpose of pulverizing the material is achieved by the grinding roller.

Step 1The jaw crusher crushes large pieces of material into smaller particles within the feed size of the Raymond roller mill. The crushed materials, after passing through the bucket elevator, are sent into the storage hopper and vibrating feeder for being evenly and continuously ground in the main crushing chamber.
Step 3Then the power through wind pipe enters the powder collector for separating. The desired final powder product will be discharged from the discharging port while there would be another grinding for the undsired powder until it meets standard.
Raymond mill uses the design of the vertical structure with less occupied-place and a systematic working style. The whole process from coarse crushing, transportation, grinding to final packaging is an independent production system.

Raymond mill consists of main engine, analyzer, fan, finished cyclone, fine powder cyclone and duct. And the main engine is made up with rack, inlet volute, blade, grinding roller, grinding ring, casing. Generally, users will also choose a jaw crusher, bucket elevator, electromagnetic vibrating feeder, etc. as auxiliary equipment according to their own needs.
Raymond mill grinds the material by the mutual extrusion of roller and grinding ring. When the Raymond mill is working, the transmission drives the roller shaft to make a rapid rotary motion. The action of the grinding roller is a fixed grinding ring. The grinding roller acts on the fixed grinding ring. When the material is fed into the body through the feeder, a blade installed at the front of roller continuously feed the material into grinding zone between the grinding roller and grinding ring.
Since the grinding roller is revolving along the axis, it continuously rolls outward and gradually approaches the grinding ring, and finally presses against the grinding ring. Meanwhile, the material mixed between the grinding roller and grinding ring is crushed by the pressing action, thus completing the entire grinding work.
After the material is ground, the fan blows up the powder, and sorts it through an analyzer placed above the grinding chamber. If the material is too thick, it will fall into the grinding chamber and re-grinds, while the fineness that meets the requirements will enter the cyclone collector with the wind flow. After collection, it is discharged through the powder outlet, which is the finished product. The wind flow is returned to the fan by the return air duct at the upper of a large cyclone collector.
The winding path is cyclic and flows under negative pressure. The wind of the circulating air path is discharged through the exhaust pipe between the fan and the main engine, and then enters the small cyclone collector for purification treatment.

Wind separating system in raymond mill After being ground, powders will be blew up to analyzer. For those larger powders, they fall back to grinder for being ground again.
