lg tromm front load washer wm2455hw reviews

I have had this machine since 2009. I have had no problems with it. I love all the options that I have when using this washer. I love the little tune it plays when it is done. The only complaint I have is that it does start to smell after a little while. I have the washer in the garage so I just leave the door open most of the time when it is not in use. I hear this is a common problem with the front load washers though. But over all I would definitely recommend this washer.

We purchased this washer in August 2008 and it's easily been my favorite appliance ever since! It's so easy to operate, looks sleek, and most importantly- does a great job of cleaning our laundry. I love that I never have to estimate the size of my load and adjust the water level; it does that for you. (Haven't we all done a small load, forgetting that the previous load was set on 'large'?? No more of that water wasting!) The drum holds an enormous amount. I've washed my king size bedspread many times with no issues. I also really love how quiet it is. Our laundry closet is in our kitchen, which opens right up to the dining room/living room. I wouldn't think twice about having the washer running while we have company over-- it's that quiet. You can't even hear water going into it. I would highly recommend this washer. We absolutely love it and if I ever had to purchase another washer if we moved or something, I wouldn't hesitate to get this one again. Whenever my mom comes from out of town to visit, she always says how jealous she is of my washer and that she wishes she had one!

this is the most amazing machine! there are 3 people in my home and i can do a weeks worth of laundry in 2 to 3 loads of laundry! depending on my two year olds week! you get what you pay for my husband said when i bought these and im sure glad i didnt go with the cheapest machine i could find!!i would do it again!

I got the LG washer about 3 years ago because I heard that front loaders help save on electricity and water and I am always looking for ways to cut down on waste in my life. The washer works really well, but we did have an incident when we moved apartments when it started flooding water. Luckily, it was still under warranty and was fixed free of charge. Hopefully we don't have to deal with that incident again! The washer does it's job and if you put it on stain cycle, it will take out the stains no matter what type of detergent you use (we make our own). My biggest complaint, which probably goes with all front loaders, is that the door gets really moldy and gross. I always leave the door open after I wash to make sure it dries out, but we still experience this problem. It's almost enough for me to consider going back to a top-loader whenever we need to replace this machine. Overall, it does a great job in washing.

I love my LG TROMM front loader washing machine. It literally enables me tomovemountains. I wash everything from king sized comforters to dog blankets to delicate sweaters with ease. I would say buying this washer was the best purchase by far we made when we moved into our new home. And I love the way it looks, the shiny black with blue lights on the front is very pretty and sleek looking.

In purchasing a new condo there were six appliances included in the purchase price. They were pretty much run-of-the-mill, okay items. Not bad, just not real good. We decided to do our own shopping and apply the allowance for the appliances to our own choices. The washing machine we chose was the Tromm HW2496H made by LG. The first time it was used, I wasn't even sure it was working. It would start, then stop. Go again, then stop. I didn't interrupt, I just let it go. In the end the clothes were clean and quite dry for just being washed. There are several push button settings and a dial for automatic functions. As a man, I always choose an automatic setting. I don't want to know, or have to think, about what is happening. The first thing the machine does is weigh the load you have given it. Based upon this information, the machine then determines the amount of water and the time required to complete the wash. At first I found the amount af time disturbing. It wasn't (and still isn't) uncommon for the LED display to inform a washing time of one hour, thirty-eight minutes, or one hour and fifty minutes. In my mind, there was no way a running time of over an hour to do a wash could be energy efficient. Myformer washing machine did a load in about twenty-five minutes. I have come to expect and accept a longer running time from this washing machine. I don't even really notice it anymore. I just put the wash in, add the 'he' soap (he=high efficiency, and yes, you should be using this type of product in this machine, don't use 'regular' soap), choose my setting, push start, and carry on with my life. You will hear a loud 'click' which is the front loading door locking shut. After a few little 'whirrs' the machine will add the water, the soap when ready, and do its' thing. Now I don't claim to know how this works, but I'm told that somehow, electronically, the washing machine basically 'stores' the energy it uses and reuses the energy as much as possible. This is apparently one of the reasons for the long washing times. The bottom line of this is less electricity use, and therefore, a lesselectric charge on your bill for usage. I have not actually done tests or trackings of this fact, but I do believe these statements based upon the actual electric bills. Even though the washing machine takes over an hour to do a wash, the electric bills have not increased, may even be slightly down. As a disclaimer to this I will add, all six appliances were replaced with new ones at the same time, but the electric bill did not increase even though a plasma tv was added to the usual mix of electrical devices at the same time. As I am in a condo, the washing machine is in the hall just outside the master bedroom. Let's talk about noise. After all, I have been known to put a wash in, then go to bed. I would have to say this LG Tromm washing machine, for what it does, is quite quiet. Now that is relative, I know. What is quiet to me might be noisy to you. If you understand that sound is my thing, my passion if you will, I am very aware of noises and sounds around me (ask those who know me, I have left restaurants before ordering because of the music/noise/enviroment sounds. I like things peaceful in a dining environment. I digress. There are noises that eminate from this washing machine that go with the functions it needs to perform. As it adds water, you can hear the water entering (and sometimes even the pipes knock when shutting off, but that's not the machines issue, it's the condos). As it is doing the wash you can see the drum spinning one way, a pause, then spin the other way. It seems like a gentle, easy moving of the laundry around. It will empty and fill as necessary. I will repeat, I don't decide the functions, I just pick an automatic setting and let it decide. I have no problem sleeping, or falling asleep, while this is going on. It is audible for sure, but by no means is it what I would consider loud or obtrusive. In the livingroom watching tv, I don't even usually hear it. After it has finished its' washing cycles, it does a spin dry. Now, this is where I have to say, I really become impressed, and I am sure it helps to save on the electric bill. It spins. Fast. Like really fast. How fast? I can't say I know. What I can tell you is after the washing machine has finished doingthe spin cycle, you will hear (if turned on) a small chime to let you know it's done, and a loud 'click.' The click is the front loading door unlocking. When you remove the clothes from the washing maching you will find they are damp to the touch. It's like the machine has wrung them out to the point of very little moisture left. They certainly aren't dry, but they are far from wet. I'm sure this saves me on my drying electric bill as the dryer needs to do less work to complete the job. Would I reccommend the LG Tromm series of washing machines? I would have to say, "yes." I like the looks (style) of these silver colored (there are in my hall) machines, they are comparatively quiet while operating, seem energy efficient, and the washing machine most certainly does its' job. The laundry comes out clean. That's what the machine should do, and it does it. That's all I ask of it.

We purchased the LG WM2455HG Front Loading Washer on Oct 1, 2008 and have had nothing but problems with it. We have had the Warranty Repair Technicians out 3 times and now they want to take it in and leave me without a washer for a week. I paid good money for what I thought would be a great machine, but this machine has walked all over the laundry room and has even rubbed up against the dryer while in the spin cycle and chipped the paint off the dryer. I even went out and purchased the vibration mats to go under it to no avail. This machine has cost me money by having to take time off work to meet with the technician and purchasing the vibrationmats. I am now in the process of talking with LG about getting another one. Something is defiantly wrong with this one. The problem I am having now is that everyone at LG wants to put me off on someone else and not handle the situation.

I absolutely love the LG WM24554W. I have owned mine now for 3 years and it has never required a service call. One of the most common complaints about these type washers (all brands) is a "mildew smell". You must do a once monthly maintenance on these machines to prevent this. At the bottom of the washer, a little door opens. Take a large bowl and place it beside the washer along with an old towel for in spills that may occur. Unscrew the cap off the little hose inside this compartment and direct the water from the hose into the bowl. This is residue that builds up but is not drained off the machine and it is not that big of a deal! This is an excellent washing machine that will clean just about anything the way you want it cleaned. Once you have punched in your settings, it automatically weighs the load and determines from the weight how much water to use, thus saving on your water bills. It does have some intense moments! When it gets to spinning, it sounds like a small jet taking off that has been muffled. It's not a huge sound that is way to distracting, yet there is sound present. Actually, it is very quiet considering how much movement is going on. You cannot have movement without some noise.

We purchased the LG Washer in Feb. 2009. It's a great washer for our family of 7. I do about 3-4 loads a week. The clothes always come out clean and fresh. I love that you can select from so many options, and the cycles don't last forever. The cute little noise it makes when the cycle is done makes me smile everytime I hear it. I have noticed since we bought it though that we have to clean it at least once a month. There is a really bad smell after so many loads..kinda like rotten eggs. Also, it seems like it has gotten louder in the past 2 years. One thing this washer does is warn you with certain codes that something is not right, but the guide that comes with the washer is very hard to understand. The gasket also collects lots of hair and lint which is not fun to clean!

LG has made laundry so much easier. I love this machine. I have several friends that have bought other brands of front load washers, and they don't like them. In fact, they feel like their old top loading machines got their clothes cleaner. Not true with the LG washer. My clothes look amazing! The clothes spin so fast they are almost dry as soon as they come out. (This does mean you have to peel socks off the drum....but I'm ok with that.) I have always used the HE laundry detergent as recommended. I recently switched to powder detergent...my washer was starting to have a strange odor. (Even after wiping out the seals). After researching this on the internet I learned liquid detergent will sometimes get rancid in the washer. I'm not sure what causes this, but it seems to happen in all front loading washers at some point. After switching to the tide powdered detergent my washer smells great again! My mom and sister-in-law both have LG washers and agree....it is a must have!

LG is an electronics company that offers a variety of innovative and state-of-the-art products for the entire home. The company's refrigerators feature advanced technology and innovative features like wireless internet and app accessibility, LG makes fridges for every budget.

I bought the LG Model DLEX3370W in May 2019. Exactly 2 years later the dryer died. The circuit board died and it will not power on. I went to a local repair/refurbished shop and asked them if it was possible to repair the dryer. They told me it would cost the same amount to repair the dryer as replacing it. The dryer works very well when it has power but after about a year we noticed it would intermittently not power on. In most cases we would unplug it and plug it back in and it worked. This last time it is completely dead.

Our dryer failed during a run, and would not power back on. I checked the circuit breaker and the plug, and unable to restart the unit, I placed a service request with LG. Over the past month I have experienced nothing but frustration and disappointment from LG customer service. I have been given inaccurate information, been repeatedly told to expect a call back or email about service status, but the only communication I have had with LG is when I have initiated contact. Please note that because I have two children, one of whom is still out of school because of the pandemic, the only times I can call when the 800 number is operating is on W and F when I am commuting to/from onsite days at my job. Below is a detailed timeline of my experience:

Below is a detailed timeline of my experience:

Th 4/15. Dryer breaks during run. Test fuse, power line, reset per manufacturers instructions. Fr 4/16. Submit ticket through LG website describing problem. Sa 4/17. Receive email response from website instructing me to do the troubleshooting I had already completed prior to submitting ticket to website. Call LG 800 number to request repair. Told that I would hear back within 24-48h about getting an LG service technician. Tu 4/20. Call LG because I received no call back. Am informed that they could not find a local technician, and my request was being escalated to the "regional services team." Fr 4/23. Call LG for a status update. Rep informs me that they have 5 business days to find local authorized technician, but that if they cannot within 5 days, I can get a replacement authorization. W 4/28. Call LG again, to request replacement authorization. Am told I need to wait an additional 48h for update.

F 4/30. Call for status update. Rep tells me that information I received on 4/23 about replacement is incorrect, and that regional services is still looking for repair. Request transfer to executive services. Call gets cutoff partway through. Attempt to call back, but service line is closed for the day. Particularly disappointed that the executive services person I was speaking with did not call me back, because the first thing he asked for was my phone number, in case we got disconnected.

W 5/5. Call LG; request immediate transfer to executive services. Rep curtly informs me that they have "hundreds of thousands" of technicians, just none in our area. Furthermore, that LG has 30 days from my initial call to locate repair services, so I am not yet entitled to a replacement dryer. However, she does provide me with contact info for an authorized service provider in American Canyon. I contact said service provider, Linet Electronics. Technician at Linet tells me that yes, they do service our model of dryer, and they do service our town (35 miles away), and yes he does have availability. He advises against booking him directly for warranty repairs, because then I will need to work request reimbursement from LG for the repair.

W 5/12. Call LG; request they contract with Linet Electronics to service our dryer. I provide phone number, but the rep insists that I need to provide email and postal address, too. They should have this information, since I got the phone number from their authorized service system, which is infuriating. I call back once I have the email and post address. The new rep calls Linet, but Linet wants an extra $225 to do the service call, and so LG will not authorize service (this strikes me as absurd, since replacing the unit outright, or providing me a refund, will undoubtedly cost more than the service call with a surcharge).

I am told that regional service has 2 chances to find someone in our area before we qualify for replacement, but apparently hasnt done anything since my first escalation on 4/20 (15 business days ago). Rep promises that I will get a call back within 24-48h about warranty replacement. I tell him I am highly doubtful about that, since I have not received any updates, by phone or email, at any point so far. That my only contact with LG has been contact that I initiated. Th 5/13. Much to my surprise, Jacob, the rep I spoke with on 5/12, calls me back to let me know there has been no action on my replacement request yet. He promises to call me back in 24h. F 5/14. No call back from Jacob. Monday will be 30 days since my dryer broke. I will call LG and demand they send a replacement dryer, though I am not confident they will honor their warranty obligations at this point.

Do not waste your time trying to get LG to help you. They have a lint filter that will not fit unless they redesigned your dryer. They will delay, they will put you through hell and still get you nowhere even if they sent you a filter for the dryer it still will not fit. They know it's a problem. They are not really helping people because it would cost them way too much to redesign each dryer that's out there and there is no class action suit then I'm aware of currently.

If this website ConsumerAffairs.com is willing to step in and really help people they should see who sent this and passed my contact information which you have my permission to do so to those class action attorneys that will get something done about this. I have spent too much time getting nowhere with LG support. They don't even have the decency to follow up and actually help in a real way. Again anyone who has any connection with LG that thinks they're going to make headway on this they could not afford the amount of expense to either recall or redesign those dryers that are out there that are ruining clothes everyday.

My very expensive new lint trap will not sit flush. It has caused new and old clothes to be ruined. It also causes clothes and sheets to twist making them not dry properly. This is unacceptable. What do I do to remedy this? Is there a recall? Or can the dryer be returned or replaced?

The features and other pieces of this dryer are impressive. However, something as simple as a poorly fitting lint screen has made the machine a nightmare. Although I replaced the lint screen at least twice with the LG specified type, and tried any number of machinations, approx. 75% of the loads end up with a piece of laundry catching the right side (facing the machine) of the lint screen and the entire load (or a large part of it) getting tangled in a knot. The longer the dryer runs, the worse the tangle, and the more damage is done to clothing. So the choices are to watch the load run the entire time or resign yourself to tangles and throwing damaged clothes away. Product Services at the company has not responded to my complaints, hence this review.

Bought an LG dryer in 2020 from Lowes, thinking they must be good because it costs so much more then other brands. Wrong! Very frustrated as this thing will not dry clothes on any setting. Even on high, extra dry the clothes always come out damp. I have to dry small loads of delicates 4 times and even then they still come out damp. Towels I dry on heavy duty, high, and still have to go thru two cycles. I wish I could return this junk.

If you are in the market for any product that LG Global makes, BUYER BEWARE! I have a dryer that is less than 2 yrs old and I have been trying to get a courtesy repair since its the dryers electronic control board has gone bad! My dryer is less than 2 yrs old and warranty only covers 12 mos. The customer Service for this company is non-existent. When you get people on the phone you can understand, and youve spoke to 3 customer service people and so you ask for a supervisor and they say I cant do that. Theres a huge problem.

I am so furious and tired of each customer service rep asking for the entire history again snd then wanting to open a new call it gets RIDICULOUS. DOESNT ANYONE PICK UP THE PHONE AND CALL YOU BACK TO HAVE A CONVERSATION? They dont seem to care.??? DONT BUY LG PRODUCTS, YOU WILL BE SCREWED WHEN IT BREAKS DOWN (and it will) AND THEY ALREADY HAVE YOUR $$$ SO THEY DONT CARE!???

We purchased the LG EcoHybrid dryer a few years ago. The heat pump feature stopped working a few months after we bought it and no one around will fix it. The dryer now constantly has a flow sense warning. We cleaned the dryer exhaust and still the warning. I see a lot of lint in the dryer itself but have no way to clean it except taking the entire thing apart.

Horrendous Experience! On 7/13 I reported that twenty expensive Brooks Brothers non-iron shirts were destroyed due to the fault of the lint filter of this dryer. The shape of the filter was not manufactured properly and did not remain in place. As a result, pockets, sleeves, button holes and collars of twenty shirts in a load were ruined. I immediately contacted LG customer service and spoke to someone about this event. They offered to mail a new lint catch and then said that I would have to complete a full report of the incident. A follow up email arrived to me with a claim form that I submitted on 7/20.

I completed the form in full and also took detailed photos of every shirt and the damage caused. I had heard nothing back at all for two months until on 9/3 when I began to submit daily written complaints via the LG website complaint portal. Finally on 10/5, another representative contacted me via e-mail and asked me to once again forward my claim for and all of the photos of the damage. After review, the representative said that the most they would offer was a reimbursement of $250.00. I sent examples of the current value from the Brooks Brothers website, segregated the shirts for physical inspection and was informed that I would need the original receipt for each one in order for the reimbursement to be reconsidered.

A collection of twenty shirts bought over a series of time that were not defective prior to their placement in this dryer would have had no reason to have receipts available. I offered to have them viewed in person and made between 3-4 photos of each shirt as described, showing their tags and damage! Brooks Brothers shirts are quality and time tested to last because they are made properly; quite unlike this dryer! I have yet to get any response to my dissatisfaction for this company's resolution. I did, however, receive this e-mail from 12/21 that had the gall to offer me $500.00 for having completed this survey.

My loss of value due to the shirt damage was in excess of $2800.00!! This company has a terrible amount of nerve and complete lack of concern for the customer experience as a whole. This dryer is an abomination and I am sorry that I ever decided to purchase it. Your company should be ashamed of itself for all of the aggravation that I have been put through for this incident...never mind the financial loss!

Sadly, a new dryer that had to be serviced 3 times within a year. Clothes continue to come out damp, an internal rattling noise which is loud, and a lint catcher that destroys clothes. I am quite sad. :(

I have usually always gotten LG or kitchen Aid appliances in my house. When I bought this Dryer, it was one of the top of the line dryers at the time. Due to my experience with other LG appliances, and the reviews that were coming out with this dryer about all of it's options, and the way this dryer looked compared to others, I was hooked when I went to buy the LG Tromm. When I got home and used the dryer, I realized how much larger the drum was than all the other machines. I can dry a king size comforter in this LG dryer with out a problem. After crayons got left in a pocket, I was very happy that I have a stainless steel drum.....no crayon marks any where, and none on the clothes. Still to this date, this dryer has one of the largest stainless steel drums. The performance of the dryer has been ok. I have had to get the heating element replaced 2 times and the board 1 time since I have owned it. Right after a new element is in, it can dry a king sized load in 45 minutes tops. I can dry a regular size load in 30 minutes after a new element is in, after its a couple years, it takes 90 minutes to dry a regular load. Also, i have had to replace my lint screen several times, as it doesn't catch real well after a couple years. The ease of use is very easy. After you figure out how to program it, any one can dry their clothes in 3 touches of the button. Cleaning the dryer is very easy, especially since it has a stainless steel drum. If some one could find this dryer used at a great deal, I would suggest they get one. Overall, I have been happy with my dryer.

I am very happy with my LG dryer. It has a lot of settings to adjust to all of the different types of clothing. I have the large capacity washer so the dryer can hold a lot of clothes and dries no problem. I love the dewrinkle button! When I forget to take my clothes out right away I just use that for a touch up and it comes out nice most of the time. The biggest issue I have is that the washer really twists my clothes up and the dryer cannot get the wrinkles out. It is very easy to clean the dryer periodically to get all of the lint out of the chute. As long as you clean the lint after each load the build up is not that bad. The drying sensor is nice since it stops drying once it senses that the clothes are dry. It save a lot on electricity and it doesn't over dry your clothes. Great dryer!

This dryer is perfect in every way! There are so many cycles to choose from, different temperature settings, different timed settings, or a lot of pre set settings that you can use. You can even make and save your own setting for using a lot. I love that the dryer came with a rack to put in it, if I want to dry something and lay it flat, like a sweater, that I dont want tossed around, it is so much faster than a typical 'drying rack' that your sweater lays on for days and is still wet! There is a cool down cycle at the end of every drying so that your clothes aren't scolding hot when you are folding them! I love that it sings a song at the end instead of a loud annoying buzzer, which also makes my baby happy! It sounds like one of his toys! so it doesn't wake him if I decide to do laundry late at night. I love how big it is, I can easily do every single towel in our house in one load , in the washer and dryer, and it isn't overloaded. we got both pedestals to go with them, it makes them a lot higher so you also aren't bending over hurting your back to put clothes in and out of the dryer. and bonus you can store stuff in them!

I guess most people won't think of LG brand when think about purchasing a dryer, but I decided to give it a try after hearing some good things about their products. I have used other LG products before and have had good experience. This is about medium sized dryer, still quite heavy. It can take about 10-15 clothes, no large liner like bedding or it'll get stuck. You'll notice the size of the load when you see it, just don't cram the load too tight. It has 9 predefined mode of operation, I mainly just use one so I don't know why it needs that many. It also has 5 temperature level, but I don't set it. I have the dryer in my house so I can check my clothes from time to time. This thing is pretty load however, it's best to put it in a basement or spare room. Overall, I have not been too happy with this, even though it gets the job done and hasn't broken down. But I wish it was able to take more clothes.

I spent a lot of time researching washers & dryers, front and top load units. Thought I had done my homework but for what I paid for this dryer & washer I could have spent a lot less and got a better product. After several service calls, the retailer had LG send out one of their own service technicians. To make a long story short, LG customer service is terrible. My noise problems never did get resolved except with an explanation that my dryer is only supposed to be used on a concrete slab home and problem could not be fixed. I will never buy a LG product again.

The LG Tromm DLE5955W Electric Dryer we bought when we bought the matching Washer with it has been very reliable. However now after 2 years it takes 2 drying cycles to dry items. I am thinking a censor needs cleaned however need someone to do this for me. It plays the most beautiful "tune" instead of a "buzzer". At the beginning it did what it said it would and was pretty quick. I do think it needs a clean up on filters and sensor and it will be as good as new. It isn't terribly noisey and I love the drying rack that came with it to dry your handwash items quickly and efficiently. I would buy again, perhaps in a different color than white (the other colors cost more at the time), but it has been a lovely dry, especially compared to our last old dryer.

My LG Dryer is got to be the coolest dryer anyone would love this thing. It's all digital screen, tells you everything going on, select how long, how hot, you want it. It even has a steam cycle, so if you jst have wrickly shirt this needs straightening or you want to steam a few shirts, mine does three shirt at a time, has saved me so much money, I haven't spent any money on dry cleaning service in the nine months I have owned this dryer, I wouldn't trade it for anything, it's everything you need. Really so fancy but fun looking and it plays a little tune at the end of every cycle. It even has a speed cycle, so if your in a hurry, Or a guest comes in out of the rain , you can quickly dry their coat for them, in a flash! I can't say enough about this dryer, it has everything a large family needs to get the job done, it seems to know when the clothes are done, I really done know how this works, but your clothes don't sit in the dryer a moment too long. So I save money because its not running. You really just can't beat it, I purchased mine at sears, so my price was pretty good with a five year warranty, same price as bestbuys two year warranty except sears doesn't charge for service calls. So I think I got a terrific deal on one of the best dryers made yet! I'm sure they will improve, but this is all you need if your running to the laudry mat for large comforters or to the cleaners for it, you wont have to with this machine. I have already saved so much money, and it so more convenant to do this stuff at home then having to run out. Really I just love it!

The LG dryer performs quietly, efficiently, and is very energy efficient. I am completely satisfied with the quietness andperformance. My **dry clean only** items washed in the **LG** matching washer come out perfectly and only slightly damp and dry wrinkle free in this dryer and go direct to hanger. Silk items also dry wrinkle free. My only complaint is that I waited so long to purchase a front load washer and dryer.

Never leaked. Had the filter plug because most of the cheap rubber on a throw rug came off the rug and tried to go down the drain. The door gasket has a channel and small weep/drain holes that can plug with horse/mule/cat hair, pine needles, and just about anything else. But it's easily cleaned. Yes, I put horse blankets in it. And sleeping bags. And my under ware, Petty complaint is the ink jet printing on the controls is rubbing off.

my washer has the same issues as most reviews I have read. It builds up a brown slime in the inner seal, behind the seal on the rim of the drum behind the seal and on the white ring that the drum rolls on. The scum will get on your clothes and ruin them and make your close smell musty. Even with regular cleaning, it does not get the scum behind the seal. I am going to buy a top loader and stay away from the front loaders. I do not even see a way this can be corrected as I have seen the same problem with other brands. I would say that the old style top loading inexpensive washers work way better then these new versions

i am so sick and tired of having stains on everything! This machine does an extremely poor job of cleaning! i don't know if it's the Irish in me or not, but I like to do laundry, and this makes me do a lot of it over and over. There is not a pre-stain cleaner in this world that can clean these spots. Everything I have is ruined from repeated washing and drying and STILL THE STAINS! This is ridiculous! i am buying another unit as soon as I can afford to. I have an old top load in storage I am going to give a try. I bough this because it would stake in my small laundry area. It is also water "efficient" which may be the cause of the stains. Not enough water used, even when I push extra water. This is ridiculous! Hope I can't a decent price for it on these appliances market. Worthless!

AFTER 18 YEARS WITH A $200 SCRATCH & DENT GE TOP LOADER AND 5 CHILDREN LATER, I WAS VERY EXCITED TO PURCHASE THIS NEW WASHER DRYER SET WITH BASES (EVEN THOUGH OVER $2200) WITHIN A WEEK THE WASHER WAS LEAKING AND 6 REPAIR TRIPS WITHIN 6 MONTHS AND MUCH COMPLAINING LG REPLACED THE WASHER WITH A NEW WASHER WHICH TOOK THREE DELIVERIES TO FINALLY GET ONE THAT WASN'T SEVERELY DAMAGED. TOO BAD WE DIDN'T READ THE REVIEWS BEFOREHAND OR MAYBE THERE WEREN'T ANY IN 06 WHEN WE INITIALLY PURCHASED BECAUSE WE HAVE EXPERIENCED ALL THAT OTHERS HAVE COMMENTED ON EXTREMELY FOWL ODORS, LEAKS, MULTIPLE REPAIRS AND PART REPLACEMENTS AND HAVE ALSO FOUND THE DRAINING TUBE RIDICULOUS AND MESSY. DON'T BUY. GOING BACK TO A TOP LOADER. THE ONLY PRO TO THIS MACHINE IS THAT A LOT OF CLOTHES CAN FIT IN IT.

Really like this washer starting out with the color and design. I like the features it offers. And that it's energy efficient. Really cleans our clothes well. Nice to look at to. Love the little jingle it plays when its done instantly catches my attention that it's done. One thing I do have to complain about is the rubber ring that seals the door tore and we had to have it replaced. But it's run great before and since. Love it and I haven't noticed any funny smell coming from the inside drum as some have of course I clean the ring and run cleaner to clean the drum through and let the door stay open a bit after I get done washing. Energy Efficiency Very efficient uses less water and electricity. Cleaning Time You can range your time on this washer has a quick wash or on out to a full out load taking about an hour to wash if it's a extremely big load such as comforters or such. Performance Works very well love it Ease of Use Very easy to use just set the controls to what you want and wash very simple Design Love the design the color brightens up my laundry room and I just like to look at this washer. Very attractive adds a nice design to my plain old boring laundry room. LOL Durability Pretty good for the most part just had that one problem with the rubber ring on the front of the washer. other than that everything's worked great.

This mold bucket of a washing machine has been dirtying my clothes for the past few years. My clothes come out of the washer less clean than when I put them in. Pretty amazing considering what I paid for the overpriced piece of junk! Energy Efficiency Not efficient since it's supposed to clean clothes. Cleaning Time Cycle takes forever and the clothes smell moldy when they come out! Performance HORRIBLE! Design Worst design you will find in a washing machine. Don't know anyone happy with the piece of junk.

I was so excited when my family first purchased the LG Tromm Front Load Washer. I had never owned a laundry machine that was so shiny, beautiful, and modern looking. My previous washer and dryer both came with my current house. I am unaware of what their exact age was when I moved in, but the washer looked old fashioned at the time. Despite its age, my family and I used our old washer with very few problems for close to twenty years. When our washer finally died, we purchased the Lg Tromm Front Load Washer. My family and I were so disappointed! This washer leaves stains on our clothes and there is an odd, repulsive odor in the washer that makes our clothes smell worse than they did prior to washing. I find it completely concerning that my ancient twenty year old washer was significantly better quality than this brand new washer! Technology is supposed to improve! Energy Efficiency It is efficient at saving energy. Cleaning Time The cleaning time is fine. However, I would prefer a longer cleaning time if it meant that my clothes would actually come out clean. Performance The clothes come out smelling worse than they did going in. Design It looks so beautiful!

I've owned my Tromm HE front loading washing machine since 2007. At first it seemed to work just fine, but over the years I've learned it takes A LOT of cleaning, I mean A LOT. I have to get a frying pan put it one the floor pull out the tube to empty it. Ridiculous! Then the tray which holds the detergent/bleach/fabric softener, is always full of water. I have to empty that after every wash cycle. Couldn't figure out the mold odor.....well when I pulled the tray out all behind it was MOLD, BLACK MOLD. Until I found yet another problem I had no idea why after washing my clothes, that they stunk! Then there's a 3 drain system in the front around the seal. I have to use a tweezers to pull out any lint or debris that has accumulated in there. All in all I never would have bought this machine if I knew then what I know now. Rally glad it isn't just me. Energy Efficiency Washes for a long time. Do not over load it, or half the clothes are dry when you take them out. They never touched any water! Cleaning Time LONG Performance You're supposed to be able to put more clothes in than the average non-HE machine. Not so. I've had it balanced 2 times and it still walks across the floor! Ease of Use I hate constantly have to clean out the entire machine. Oh I always leave the door open to dry out, doesn't help if the tray and the water tube is sitting in water. Design Easy to figure out the control panels Durability I haven't had to replace it because it's broken.

I have owned my LG Tromm Front load washer over a year. From the beginning, it leaked water from underneath. Repairmen have not been able to locate the source of the leak because it is always dry by the time they get here (days or more later). I keep a log. It's happened maybe 30 times in the past year. Sometimes a LOT of water (gallon maybe?) and sometimes much less (maybe a cup). It also leaks bleach from the bleach dispenser (onto the floor). If I use Oxyclean powder with the wash in the pre-wash cup, my laundry will be bleach streaked. Having said all this, I love the front load washer for the quiet and water efficiency. It cut my water bill by a third and my electric bill went down noticably as well because the high speed spin leaves clothes almost dry. I wish I had a brand that didn't leak, though. This will prevent me from ever buying another LG front load washer again. I read about this problem so much online that it seems that the responsible thing for LG to do would be to recall these things. But I get only denial that there is a problem. My installer advised against using the tray I bought to put the washer in -- saying I would never need it. It's a little late now as the dryer is stack atop the washer and no one can lift this package to put a tray under it. So, I am grateful my floor is tile and not wood ...and hope for the best. No more LG appliances for me. But front load (big ones anyway) RULE! Energy Efficiency My water bill went down noticably. Performance It does not clean REALLY dirty clothes well unless I add a supplemental cleaner (bleach, oxyclean, etc) and run it is on an extended setting (STEAM, STAIN CYCLE, MORE WATER). Might be the way front loaders work because of so little water. It's a fair trade-off for efficiency, I guess. Design While the original leaks have been fixed, it leaks from the door area when it is opened after the wash cycle is finished. Fortunately, I have it installed in a tray, so it cannot ruin the floor. Would be really nice if it were possible to just "crack" the door open to leave it dry after washing -- instead of wide open, but there is no catch to do that. Durability I have now had the washer five years. Still going strong, complete with the original minor complaints. No odors, no smells ( I leave the door open at least one day after I wash).

I have owned this washer for 6 years and had to replace the drain pump twice for 250.00 each time! And like the previous reviews I also had a problem with the smell despite cleaning in monthly. I also purchased the dryer which appears satisfactory.
