PQF continuous rolling mills successfully completed the heat load test run on the whole line Congratulations to Beite steel pipe Pleasant PQF continuous rolling mill for the successful hot load test run At 1:48 am on April 28, 2021, the heat load test run of Beite steel pipe Pleasant PQF continuous rolling mill was a complete success. The whole process from tube blank sawing, hot rolling to pre-finishing realizes the whole line of steel passing. Beite steel pipe is a company specializing in the manufacturing and service of various special energy pipes. Beite steel pipe is deeply rooted in the field of small and medium-diameter seamless steel pipes. We have launched a special special pipe production line (PQF continuous rolling mill) project. The project is planned to build 1 Complete 114mm hot-rolling pipe production line and 3 continuous pre-finishing production lines. On April 28, 2021, the entire production line will be fully integrated. The success of the PQF continuous rolling mill line with the heat load test is another milestone for Beite steel pipe, marking another solid step on the road to realizing our vision of becoming a world-renowned energy pipe brand enterprise. We are probably among the very first customers of Kathuria in Bangladesh. Definitely the first housingless stand customer in Bangladesh. We must say it was not an easy project to do as it was a brown field project. My existing plant was in operation and at the same time this new mill was being setup.
When we decided to purchase Slitting Mill, we were scared. Because it was new technology in India. But with six years of experience, I can say it is running perfectly, and there is no trouble. As regarding after sales service, Kathuria is providing excellent after sales service.

Electrotherm has started a new project on Rolling Bar Mill with KRPL. The equipment supplied by Kathuria included two 230 neck stand and six 200 neck stands. Housingless Horizontal Mill Stands with high rigidity and flexibility, along with Section and Side changing. Roll changing was pretty simple and took only 20 to 25 minutes with section and grade rigidity.

Automazioni Industriali Capitanio successfully supplied and commissioned the process automation solution for the rolling mill of CHS Chicago Heights Steel in Chicago Heights (IL), USA. The project included the automation system and equipment for the revamping of the rolling mill, starting rougher group and going through the takeout of the bar on the cooling beds.

The revamping project at Nucor-Yamato Steel in Blytheville, Arkansas, U.S.A., includes measures to increase the production capacity of the No. 2 H- and I-beam rolling mill. The project is also aimed at expanding the range of rolled steel grades, to include new high-strength grades.
SMS group supplied the mechanical equipment, including three new CCS-1500 mill stands arranged in tandem as a replacement of the previous UR, E and EF stands, and the X-Pact automation system. Equipment assembly has already begun as scheduled and will be completed shortly. On-site commissioning is scheduled to start soon. Digital commissioning with the Plug & Work integration test is already underway. The test results will be used later on in the remote-supported commissioning phase, efficiently supporting the on-site commissioning team.
