Soft, absorbent, non-abrasive carpet for many species of snakes, lizards, tortoises and insects. Better than non-absorbent Astro-turf type carpets, which are made of plastic. Great for use as a protective layer when using the ReptiTherm U.T.H. and loose substrates.

Figuring out what type of glue to use to adhere one material to another is important. Since there are endless combinations of things that could be adhered together, there needs to be some sort of guide. Could you recommend the best adhesive to attach decorative molds made from air dry paper clay to ceramic tile that has a matte finish? Would you also know the proper type of medium to use to apply raised stenciling on ceramic tile with a matte finish? Thank in advance for any advice you can offer!

Is there any adhesive to glue modeling clay to wood doweling? My friend is doing a project for school and is making a working, free-standing hip joint, but she is finding its too heavy to attach to the base, as the modeling clay keeps slipping down the doweling. I also wonder if the modeling clay keeps slipping down the doweling, does this mean once its glued to the doweling it will simply snap the doweling due to the weight?

What glue can I use to glue rubber to PVC clear flexible tubing,or clear fixable silicone tubing? Is there a glue that you can use to glue silicone to silicone.I want to glue a silicone funnel to a clear silicone flexible tube

What is the best glue for fixing sisal rope to PVC pipe? I have to wrap 2, 8 PVC pipes (3) to make cat scratching/climbing posts. I would normally use Oateys primer and cement on PVC, but I am worried about the fumes staying in the rope and being toxic for the cats.Hot glue seems like the best alternative, but, given the amount that I have to wrap, would the glue gun stay hot? How far in advance could I apply glue (1minute/5 minutes.)

Nicole,Try hot glue guns or use other types of glues depending on the exact application. It will all depend on if the rope or cotton pipping is with or without backing like cardboard or another type of backing. You could also try caulk if you are mounting the rope.-RR

What about gluing pottery to pottery? I have a beautiful pot that split perfectly in half. It is brand new (almost) and such a beautiful plant pot, I hate to throw it out. Would just plain ol super glue work?

Sue,Yes certain super glues can glue your broken pottery back together. We use LOCTITE SUPER GLUE Professional Liquid on our broken pottery. This method is not 100% waterproof if you are going to use the pottery for plants and fill it with soil and water. As long as you have all the pieces of the pottery and you align them perfectly when putting it back together, the Loctite can work.If you do not have all the little pieces of the broken pottery and you will be putting water in the pot, use a waterproof heavy duty silicone so the pottery will not leak water.-RR
