An Easy way to create a beautiful Stone Column. Designed specifically to fit a 6X6 (true dimension of 5 X 5 ), the Post Surround is engineered to be installed in a few simple steps. The P-Series Post Surround elegantly combines elements of the Ledge and Dry Stack stone profiles, to create a stone that will match all M-Rock P-Series products and create a beautiful stone accent.
The stones are labeled A, B, C, and D and fit together like puzzle pieces. On each row, stone A will always be your starting stone and stone D will always be your finishing stone. Simply attach stone A to your post then connect stone B and stone C to each side of the post, followed by stone D with only one screw each. Stone D will always mirror stone A on the post. Stack and repeat each additional row making sure that you rotate your starting stone A with each new row. Attach a Pyramid Post Cap to the top or use our custom designed Post Trims to finish off your project.
*Please note, 16x16 column surrounds are intended for a column measuring approximately 15.5x15.5 (columns larger than this may be too large for the column surround product to wrap around the column accurately)
M-ROCKS Pyramid Post Capis designed with a 2 overhang to conceal the top of your last row of stone. Its Pyramid design is for both look and functionality! Measures 13.75 x 13.75 x 3.5 to the peak. Available in Brown and Gray. Designed for the 6x 6 post surround system.

Vibro stone columns are an array of pillars made of crushed stone placed into the soil with a vibrating tool below a proposed structure. CNC Foundations uses vibro stone columns in a variety of projects for cost-effective and durable solutions.
Vibratory stone columns, also known as vibro stone columns, vibro replacement stone columns, vibro-piers, or aggregate piers, are compacted columns of aggregate that are installed through existing soils to improve the geotechnical properties of the soil matrix. The stone columns consist of a series of vertical lifts of compacted aggregate from a predetermined design depth up to the ground surface. They are installed using a specialized vibratory probe called a vibroflot.
This vibroflot is used to create a borehole down to a specific depth. The aggregate is then introduced, and the vibroflot compacts the rock. The aggregate compaction process repeats until the dense column of rock is built up to the ground surface. Vibro-piers are currently one of the most commonly used ground improvement systems in the world today. They are designed to improve the load-bearing capacity of the surrounding soil and reduce excessive settlement. Check out our vibratory stone column installation comparison to the competition.
We have the industry knowledge that makes the difference in what works best and what doesnt. You can rely on CNC Foundations for transparent practices and the optimal recommendations for your projects.
Soil conditions can vary greatly within a single job site. The characteristics of the in-situ soil play a crucial role in determining which ground improvement technique or group of techniques is best for each particular project.
Vibro stone columns are currently one of the most commonly used ground improvement systems. They are designed to improve the load-bearing capacity of the surrounding soil and reduce excessive settlement. The Geopier GP3 System reinforces poor soils like clay, silt, sand, gravel, and variable fill by using replacement Rammed Aggregate Pier (RAP) elements.
Both systems have their own set of pros and cons, so were going to examine the differences of each comparing each specific system (not including other capabilities of each company) to the other and the potential ways they could impact the quality, cost, and schedule of your project.
The vibro stone columns installation process is simple and streamlined. First, a vibroflot is driven down into the ground with a device to create a hole. Granular material is then inserted into the device and compacted to create a column in the ground. The compactive device then slowly lifts, and the column continues to be built in lifts as the flot is extracted.
