As the head of Alstom Transport, Mr. Salhotra has been pushing for promoting Alstom light rail turnkey solution for Tier II cities in India and sensitising the Indian customers on the need to adopt solution based on life cycle costs rather than on capital costs only. Whether it is Le Corbusiers sculptural high court in Chandigarh, B.V. Sanjay Seth is Senior Director of the Sustainable Habitat Division with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI). Prior to joining TERI, he worked with the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, Government of India and headed the vertical on Building Energy Efficiency. Shankar received his degree in architecture from the College of Engineering in Thiruvananthapuram and later M.S from Birmingham School of Architecture UK, with first rank and distinction. He is the Founder Chairman of Habitat Technology Group and has made path breaking, original contributions in the field of housing and architecture, by spearheading a peoples housing movement based on cost effective, sustainable and eco-friendly building technologies. Shankars contributions have won him numerous awards including the Padma Shree Award for the best tsunami initiatives in India instituted by UNDP in 2007. He also won the National Award for Slum Rehabilitation, instituted by Ministry of Poverty Alleviation, Government of India, in 2004.

Nuru Karim, received his Masters in Architecture and Urbanism from the Architectural Association [AADRL], London, United Kingdom in 2006. His work experience dates back to 1997. Apart from his own design practice, he has also taught Architecture Design Studios and conducted Design Workshops and is regularly invited as a guest jury member for several leading national design schools. He has won several awards and competitions for his work, most notably for an Architectural, Engineering Monument for Contemporary India organized by the TATA Group, for which his work The Charkha was selected the winner. His projects were featured at the Architectural Association, DRL 10 in 2008. His writings and projects have been published in a variety of professional journals, both national and international, as well as through architectural exhibitions and conferences.

In 1997, Pinkish Shah set up the office S+PS Architects. Beyond designing interiors and furniture, the studio provides urban planning and architecture services as well. He studied at the Sir J.J. College of Architecture in Mumbai and perpetuated his studies up to the Masters Degree in architecture at the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, USA. Since the offices formation, the firm has won numerous awards. Their projects have been published in several leading publications and magazines. Mr. Shah has also been a speaker at various design forums as well as jury member for architecture competitions. After studying architecture at BKPS College of Architecture, Pune in 1979, Girish Doshi did a seven year long apprenticeship in Ahmedabad at studio Sangath with eminent architect Balkrishna Doshi. In 1987 he started his own architectural studio Navkar in Pune and has been doing various architectural projects in and around Pune. Girish Doshi has created energy conscious architectural design that includes residences, mass housing, educational institutions, hospitals and commercial complexes, private offices and interiors. His work displays a studied application of traditional principles of natural ventilation/ cooling and colours in architecture. His work has been widely published in journals and newspapers and academic outputs include lectures, seminars, exhibitions, writings and theoretical projects.

Pooja Prasad is a research coordinator at the Centre for Technology Alternatives for Rural Areas (CTARA), I.I.T. Bombay, working in the area of rural drinking water access. She has a Masters in Operations Management (Stanford University) and a B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering (I.I.T. Bombay).

V.N. Heggade, presently Member, Board of Management of Gammon India Limited has more than 27 years of experience in designing and constructing Bridges, Energy structures like Chimneys & Cooling towers, Marine structures and Hydraulic structures etc. He is the first engineer to receive IABSE-Prize (International Association Of Bridge & Structural Engineers, Switzerland) from developing countries in addition to National awards like Pt Jawaharlal Nehru Centenary award from IRC; Prestressed concrete design award from Institution of Engineers, and ICI awards for best publications. He has passion for tall and long structures and he is an ardent advocate of sustainability and aesthetics in construction.

Dr. C. S Viswanatha obtained his Masters and Doctorate Degree from Indian Institute of Science Bangalore and subsequently served as a faculty member for nearly 17 years. He switched over from academics to Civil Engineering Consultancy in 1981 and since then has worked in the domain for 30 years. He is currently serving as the chairman of Civil Aid Technoclinic Pvt Ltd., which is now a Bureau Vertias Group Company. He has to his credit more than 80 papers in National and International Journals and has published Torsteel Design Hand Book during 1988 through Tata McGraw Hill. He was awarded National Design Award by The Institution of Engineers (India) in 2005 as well as the Lifetime Achievement Award by Indian Concrete Institute in 2006. At present, he is the Chairman of Task Force on Quality Assurance in Public Constructions setup by the Government of Karnataka wherein he has been accorded Minister of State status.
